Lee’s Sandwiches is the product of the merging of ideas and family support. Chieu Le, the founder, came to America and settled in San Jose, CA in 1980. He began taking adult education classes to study English and frequently bought food from a catering truck before and after class. Seeing the potential of a portable food service vehicle, Chieu Le worked on a catering truck to better understand the business. By 1981, he bought his first catering truck and started his route around San Jose.

My first time at Lee's Sandwiches, and i thought everything was great! I was greeted and waited on right away, the gentleman that helped me was polite, the BBQ pork sandwich was tasty and long, the iced Vietnamese coffee original was so good ( first time trying VC). My bahn mi had a lot of meat on it, and a good amount of vegetables too, the bread tasted fresh. The service was incredible. The cashier was one of the most friendliest person I have ever met. Extremely friendly and accommodating. I told her that if my business was in the US, I would hire her any day. Food is great. To conclude, worth all my pennies!
