They cold-called me and one-upped the current offer on my property, assuring me that everything was above board. I signed the paperwork and then they decided not to purchase it, costing me the original offer (which was very competitive to theirs). They will not even deliver the earnest money from escrow because someone emailed a request to release them from it within 20 business days of the effective date, even though no one contacted me from their office to notify me that they were walking away.
