I am grateful for the 3-years that he assisted me and treated my glaucoma. He was very kind and considered; he was careful to explain the symptoms and how to contribute to my healing/treatment. I appreciated his knowledge and felt that he cared for his patients.
One of the toughest days was when I was diagnosed with AMD, Aging macular degeneration. It just so happened that this was the same day that Dr. Schelonka was in the Lakewood office. I put full trust in him as we began the monthly regime of eye shots to address the issue. Almost 3 years later, not only has he been able to stop the degeneration, but my eyes have actually improved. The idea of this treatment is indeed scary. Thank you so much Dr. Schelonka! You have improved my vision and my life.
