Unprofessional. As I was en route to my appointment, every road was at a standstill. There were multiple accidents. I called the office 15 minutes before my appointment to let them know that I was running late. I hate being late. But when I got there, he had already left! Not a good first impression whatsoever! My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Royall for many years. We have found him to be very competent and understanding. His assistant Cody is also very efficient. She always is pleasant and calls back when we leave a message. As a retired RN with many years experience, I feel I am a good judge of competency of a physician. You can’t go wrong choosing Dr Royall for your GI issues.
I love Dr. Royall!! He is competent, professional and compassionate. The staff at the West Ashley location are great! I recommend him to anyone that needs GI assistance and care!
I found Dr. Royal to be professional and caring. He answered all my questions and took as much time with me as I needed. He was very easy to talk with, and I would highly recommend him.

I found Dr. Royall to be extremely helpful and concerned about my situation. He listened to my issues and gave thoughtful answers to my questions. He has regularly returned calls when I have had questions after an office visit. I would recommend him to anyone. The office has been able to get me in to see him on short notice more than once.
I found Dr.Royal difficult to work with. I had two procedures done. He never took the time to go over test results with me. So I made appointment to discuss the procedures. His office called me asking if "I didn't want to cancel the f/u visit ".I did not think that he thought my questions were important. I think his clinical skills are good .But he does not like to listen to his pts.
Poor bed side manner.
