I've seen many doctors over the past 27 yrs due to my crushed ankle injuries. Today was my first visit with Dr Hlad and I found him to be exceptionally knowledgeable and personable. I am considering ankle Fusions and ankle replacements. He showed me my x-rays and explained everything to me in detail then informed me of impressive pain fixes that other surgeons I have seen in the past, haven't overed nor explained their solutions in such understandable detail. Excellent Customer Service!!!
He misdiagnosed a broken ankle/leg. After glancing at the x-ray he told me it was a torn ligament. He put me in a heavy boot from foot to knee. He told me to even sleep in it for 2 months. I did. The pain was worse & nauseating. When I went back for my follow up he was gone. Transferred himself to GA. Another Dr. from his group took my chart & asked why my 4inch upward spiral tibia break was booted. The boot pulled the break 2 more inches. I now have a permanent limp. I'm in my 30s. He.is.freakin'.awesome! I had a bunionectomy and a corn removed. I can't believe how great I felt after the first two days. No need for prescription drugs, I took Tylenol and Advil. His personality is just as great as his surgical skills. Very thorough and you understand exactly what he did and the follow up. Highly recommended.
Dr. Hlad is friendly, and no doubt means well, but he is dangerously incompetent. Two weeks after he removed my ingrown toenail, he looked at it for all of 5 seconds and told me it looked great and that I could stop all treatments. 2 days later, my toe was red and swollen, my temperature was over 100, and I had to go to urgent care and get an Rx for antibiotics. My toe became infected as a direct result of following his instructions. I cannot in good conscience recommend Dr. Hlad to anyone.
Dr. Hlad is exceptionally personable. He takes his time with you and explains everything. His office staff are very friendly and it's like you are walking into a place that you are valued and treated in such a kind and friendly manner.
