I have mixed feelings about this centre. The medical staff is wonderful, but getting an appointment was an absolute nightmare due to the gatekeeping at reception. I work for AHS and received an official referral from Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) specifically directing me to the Leduc Public Health Centre for my immunizations. I declined the rotavirus vaccine two months ago for my son. I come in there yesterday to get my son’s 4 month vaccines. The nurse nearly gave my son a second dose of the rotavirus. Thankfully for the student nurse that was in there, spoke up and said something. Beyond concerning.
My experience with them was very bad, after my delivery I was very sick and they call me to come to the centre and it’s my first birth I don’t know how it’s going but I went and I was understanding, all my friends still in their houses and the nurses go to take care of them in their houses except my situation knowing that I had stitches and I was very sick Today I had immunization appointment for my 6 month baby and I was late for a reason and they don’t understand me and they cancel my appointment and I don’t drive and I wa... read more
