This was the worst emergency room experience I have ever had. My 18-month-old son fell and cracked his arm. He was in excruciating pain, screaming and crying, and I brought him to the hospital immediately after the accident. When I arrived, there were only a few people ahead of me, but there seemed to be no sense of urgency at all. BE AWARE That Leduc do not transfer patients to another hospital. I came here from Edmonton as ambulance was told the hospital with less waiting time. I had fallen never thought it was serious like a broken knee. Now I have to stay here for about 6 weeks when all my family and friend live in Edmonton. NO TRANSFER I would never again come to Leduc had I know then I would have told the ambulance people no must be a hospital in Edmonton. I waited what it seemed an eternity as I was in pain. I’m very grateful to the entire team at Leduc Community Hospital Emergency for the care and support I received. I came in feeling very sick, dehydrated, weak, and scared, and the staff treated me with kindness, professionalism, and compassion throughout my visit. The wait time was not long, and I felt that my condition was taken seriously. Thank you to the nurses, doctors, and all staff members for your help, attention, and respectful care during a very difficult time. I truly appreciate the work you do for the community.
