One big advantage of living in an apartment is the availability of several layers of security. Apartment complexes include gates, locked front doors, and many neighbors who can keep an eye out for anything unusual.

Owning a home or a condo is not necessarily the investment people tout it to be. The value of a home depends on the market at the time you want to sell, and you have to have a buyer, so it is not unusual for homeowners to lose money. Apartment rental makes more sense.

Did you know that most leases require the seller of a multi-unit property to provide notice to all tenants that their security deposits have been transferred as well as the address of the new owner? Before the settlement, it’s important that the current leases are reviewed to ensure that both the seller and the buyer are in compliance.

Yard care might not seem like a major concern when you're deciding whether to rent an apartment or buy a home, but you might be surprised at how quickly the time spent can add up. Letting someone else do all the landscaping, gardening, and mowing means you get to enjoy your environment without having to shoulder the responsibility.

We recognize that it can be difficult to get a true sense of a new area when you’re on short visits prior to making a move. If you’d rather not lock yourself into a mortgage on a house that may not be in the area you ultimately want to live, we’re here for you.

To stay on good terms with your neighbors and management, educate children and teenagers about proper apartment etiquette. This includes the importance of keeping the volume low on stereos, televisions and video games after a certain time on weeknights and weekends.

Those who are concerned about their environmental footprint would do well to consider renting an apartment. Because you tend to own and store fewer things, you'll generally have less waste. Heating and cooling take less energy in a smaller space, too.
