I had a very troubling experience with Dr. Michael Tempkin in San Ramon in 2022. My health never been the same. He prescribed me a high dose of thyroid medication even though my thyroid levels were already within range. This dosage essentially wiped out my TSH. In addition, his testosterone treatment took my levels from normal (around 45) to an unsafe 265, far above the recommended range. Anti aging treatment should be included progesterone and estrogen. Absolutely disappointed with this office. I’ve been under the care for my medical needs for many years with Dr. Temkin. I called in to get my annual blood work with Medicare and I was told that I’m no longer a client as I was not registered in their subscription program and would need to be on a waiting list to get my blood work. Absolutely horrendous
Dr Temkin has been my primary for 3 years I believe. I came in to the doctors office and let him know I really wasn't feeling good. It was hard to tell what was going on. I was fatigued and all around just didn't want to get out of bed. We ran a bunch of blood tests and he said they would reach out when the results were back. Never got that call. Dr temkin is an awesome doctor. His front office staff on the other hand is the reason i found another PCP. Jeni is by far the rudest person and has zero empathy and lacks bedside manners. If you choose to go here make your appointments online and avoid the garbage upfront
In my experience, Dr. Temkin employs a "one-size-fits-all" approach to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) pellets for women, disregarding individual needs and goals when determining hormone dosages. I visited Dr. Temkin's office for 1.5 years, repeatedly expressing my concerns about the unpleasant side effects of excessive hormone levels and the excessive supplemental pills prescribed (weight gain, severe hair loss, lack of energy).
