Thanks to the students and professors who made this a spectacular evening, so helpful and knowledgable. Besides being wowed by the stargazing, you get a real feel for how this was done in less technological times...fascinating!
The young lady at the front desk brought the forms out to me because I was on crutches. She made copies for me as well as provided me with a CD before I left. The young lady that did the MRI provided me with a warm robe. She explained every step and how long the noise would last. This was first MRI and I was pleased with the experience.
Lines pretty long at public night and the usage of the telescopes wasn't great. The Celestron 14" was wasted on Albireo; the image in the big Alvan Clark was blurry but the operator told me not to touch the focuser. I'd suggest going on the first Wednesday of the month with the amateur astronomers of the Charlottesville Astronomical Society.
This is a "must see" for sure! Go up there 1st and 3rd Fridays for public open house night. So historic. A treasure in our community.
