We wanted to get our gutters and downspouts cleaned and see what could be done for preventing overflow. We contacted LeafFilter for a free estimate of this service. What we got was a high pressure sales pitch for gutter protection that we don't need. Unfortunately, we agreed to have our gutters cleaned, sealed and 2 splash guards installed with this company. Had a rep come to my home for an estimate and it was the worst experience. They reek of used car salesman energy. I told them multiple times that I was just looking for pricing, but they insisted on doing a full demonstration to upsell their overpriced gutters. Paid $6,000 for the Leaf Filter on all my rain gutters. Was told in no uncertain terms it would never need maintenance, and in any event, it was guaranteed for life. If it ever got clogged, they would fix it. Well...four years later there is a clog consisting of fine particulate. Not one clog but many. Took the Leaf filter guy three hours to get it all cleaned out. Then I was told it will be a $95 fee?? What about the written guarantee? Was told we won't honor that because we deem it to not be the Leaf Filter's fault?? What ... read more
Salesman mislead us about the warranty. The filter itself has already had issues in less than four months and to come look at it would cost us nearly $800. Product and service is definitely not worth the cost.
