The staff here are very friendly and accommodating and our room was very clean. However this hotel is branded as 4-star premium in the Marriott hotel group and aside from the cost of our stay, it definitely didn’t feel like it. I regularly stay at a 3-star Marriott for work and it has more amenities than here and does not charge a daily amenity/resort fee. We recently stayed at this very interesting and elegant property for one evening! We are so glad we did as we were able to experience a very interesting piece of Tampa History along with a top notch Marriott Property. First off, after parking at the Valet we were greeted at the front desk by Heiki and her co-worker Lalithia. We hosted our wedding at Le Méridien, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Heather DiGiulio was a dream to work with—so kind, organized, and always quick to communicate. We were looking for an affordable yet elegant venue, and this was perfect. The staircase ceremony was stunning, and the upstairs ballroom made for a beautiful reception. Highly recommend!
