Le Chateau Garden Bistro is a HIDDEN GEM! Located inside the fancy Ayres Hotel off Bristol St. in Costa Mesa, I checked out this spot since I was already staying at the hotel to be close to a conference. There was a small wait to check-in when I stopped by after the dinner rush on a Monday evening. The host greeted me and asked whether I wanted to dine inside or in their open-air courtyard. Im suprised this place got 4.5 stars. I feel as though the general public let me down. I wanted to really have at least an ok dining experience! This place is very bland. No flavor. Small portions for a higher price. I do not know if they make things fresh... perhaps they do. But it did not taste fresh! I needed to add basic salt and pepper constantly.
