This hidden gem is located in the Ayres Hotel and with outdoor seating available in their lovely Mediterranean style courtyard. They are home to the BEST Monte Cristo sandwich in Orange County, maybe all of California. We came to Le Chateau Garden Bistro in Costa Mesa to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. Our host Miguel was very accommodating and even let us order from the happy hour menu with just 8 minutes left, which we really appreciated. We tried the Coconut Margarita and Jalapeño Margarita—both were excellent and quickly became our favorites.
