If I could give this location zero stars, I would. This organization has been extremely disappointing, particularly in the way they respond to crisis situations. There is a concerning lack of urgency, empathy, and appropriate action when it was needed most. The overall culture is dismissive and apathetic toward serious concerns and critical experiences. If you need to heal from abusive relationships and religious trauma, this is the last place to go!!! Bishops always advise women to stay in abusive marriages, and LDS Family Services never advises women to leave the toxic LDS culture that supports them. I even saw two female counselors at LDS Family Services that were harassed by their own bishops, one who grieved that her son left the church because of him, but they still toed the line and never advised leaving a toxic church that kept deep wounds open and prevented healing... read more

Our therapist was kind, but she seemed inexperienced for marriage counseling. She would let us share our feelings and just about everything on our minds, but she seemed to struggle maintaining control of our conversations that it felt like we weren't progressing over the course of several sessions. Sometimes it felt like she understood us, but sometimes it felt like she didn't. One good thing that I did get from this however is a better understanding of my emotions and being in touch with them.
