Lazy Flamingo

About this business

Seafood is the catch of the day at the Lazy Flamingo. The nautical décor and lively atmosphere make this a fun place to eat, but it's the food that makes it one of the most popular seafood restaurants in Sanibel. Try mahi mahi with a Caesar salad, or The Pot, a heap of steamed clams and oysters. For those who don't like seafood, the grilled chicken sandwich is a tasty alternative. Beer and wine are available as well as big-screen televisions to view sporting events. There's also the Lazy Flamingo II on Periwinkle Way.

Have to basically serve yourself and for those prices I was not impressed. Wine did not taste like an $8 a glass wine, their “famous” Caesar salad was limp and dressing had too much of a fishy taste. Shrimp was good. Did not tip since I waited on myself.

We have eaten at Lazy Flamingo many times and never disappointed! Best blackened shrimp, Caesar salad and garlic bread! Jalapeño poppers are awesome too!

Went down to Captiva island for vacation decided to try out the lazy flamingo worst idea ever. The food was cold when I got, waiter used the excuse of Covid and refused to take the food back. They where so rude and unfriendly Normally I try not to complain about service and understand Covid has made things a lot more difficult, I decided it was best just to pay and leave.
