I've not met another veterinarian who works so quickly and efficiently while diagnosing and treating an animal while simultaneously distracting the animal from her ministrations. My puppy loves her and loves visiting her. He never seems to know that he is receivng injections or being treated for an illness. He only knows that he loves her voice and her attention while she talks to him. My dog is the only dog I know who actually looks forward to entering the clinic and visiting his "Aunt" Lauren
I've known Dr. Abell a long time, and so it comes as no surprise to me that she is the best vet around. She truly cares about the animals she sees, and wants what is best for them. She's open and honest, and she (and all the wonderful staff at Layfield's!) offers the very best treatment and care. Can't say enough great things about them!
The staff is so friendly and caring the doctor is great she really cheerful and caring .
I decided to take my furbaby to Layfield bc he is so intimidated and overly anxious about car rides. Our previous vet was good, but a longer drive, hence more stressful on my baby. We went today for a well check and update shots/meds. The staff was absolutely awesome and understanding of Junior's apprehension. We were very impressed with the professionalism as well as the personalized care that we received. We have been using Dr Abell for all of my dogs care for 2 years. When she moved to Layfield, she is now 40 minutes from my house.... And I gladly drive past 7-10 vet clinics in that 40 minutes just to bring my dog to her. I don't have children yet, but my dog is my child and I won't trust them to another vet.
Thank you for working me in today, and helping me make a hard decision that needed to be done. Your reassurance and kind words is what I needed to hear to let go. I appreciate it more then you will know. I have to say the experience of having to get my rabbit put down was by far unlike any other's. I was talking with two people who really truly cared, and gave me time I needed. I have to say it was a very sad situation, but I have had a few of my animals put down and this was unlike any others.
