My complaint is about billing not the doctors. When I came for my first visit I gave the clerk my driver’s license, medicare card, and supplement card. My supplement was never inputted so I receive notices I owe money… even after I provide my card and my supplement pays. They are inept.
I want to thank all the Doctors, nurses and the entire staff for helping out my mother through her health issues! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Y'all are absolutely fantastic! Mom was on the 5th floor, then to the 2nd floor and back up to the 5th floor. No offense, but hopefully we won't meet there again, lol. Thanks again!
Don Kikkawa ruined my eyes. After having ectropic eye surgery over a year ago, my eyesight was never the same. I lost some peripheral sight, I could no longer see up and down as I could before, and my sight, in general, was much worse - sort of cloudy where they were perfect the day before the surgery. Dr. Hsu may be great. I just don't know yet, but I made an appointment for a consultation on my cardiac condition and while I thought the consultation itself went fine I was blown away at what UCSD Health charged me without any patient transparency. They broke down the cost to basically two things, a new patient visit ($782) in which the doctor spent about 15 minutes with me and then an EKG w/facilities charge ($634) done by a nurse. After seeing Dr. Savino, I'm not moving forward. If anything I going backward. I waited for 3+ months for my appointment with Dr. Joseph Savino, who twisted my complaint and incorrectly noted what the situation is in my chart. Upon walking in the room, he told the assistant that he doesn't deal with dizziness. I then stated that I don't have dizziness, nor is the room spinning as he concocted, this I repeatedly corrected during my visit. I want to thank the UCSD team of Dr. Denise Kalmaz and Fellow Dr. Amanada Krause. I was admitted to ER and then the hospital on 6/6/23. Every step of the way was perfection. From the check-in team at ER to the Hospital admission. Every nurse was extremely helpful, hardworking 12 hour shifts and professional. Dangerous. Beware. Go to Scripps. Much safer & patient focused. Nurses third floor east Thorton more concerned about each other than patients. Retaliate against patient who advocates for their care & their rights. Speak foreign language with each other in patient's room about the patient. Illegal to do so. If patient or family member advocates, nurses retaliate & lie. They LIE!
