Yet another mediocre BBQ joint – THIS REFERS TO THE MADISON LOCATION, NOT THE HUNTSVILLE LOCATION! My wife & I both had combo plates, so I got to try all the available meats on offer. My biggest test for BBQ is to try the meat without any sauce. GOOD BBQ doesn't really NEED the sauce to be good. Bad BBQ needs it as a place to hide, and unfortunately Lawler's fits into that last category. Without the sauce the meat is basically flavorless, and bland. Best barbecue and service – This little place is hidden off the road across from Monrovia Elementary School. Their barbecue is tender and juicy...never any fat or gristle or bone. And the service is outstanding. Everybody smiles and cuts up with you. It is also the FASTEST I have found. Prices a slight bit high on some things, but worth it I think.
Lawlers BBQ – While only a take out, this BBQ pork is great. Sides are also outstanding. I haven't tried the ribs yet, but that's next.
