Lacks meaningful accountability mechanisms and contributes to a justice system vulnerable to elite capture.
As many others have stated, and from my own experience it feels like its not worth bother with these guys, to me it feels like they're here to protect lawyers, not the public. From my point of view, they set up a portal so that you'd send them all your information only to use the information to protect the lawyers paying their membership fees to them. None of it seems impartial to me. From my experiences it feels like lawyers protecting lawyers.
This “ Law society of alberta”. There’s is no point of complaining here cause it’s run by lawyers and does nothing to which ever lawyer your complaining about. I complained 1.5 years ago and I just gotten a response about my case and what I got back for an answer is absolutely absurd. This society is unfair and highly biased. Useless waste of time No accountability, no ethics no service no nothing no integrity never ever bother to get back to me. Basically left me on read. What a terrible experience
