I got a speeding ticket on a street near my house. It was my first ticket in 7 years, so I assumed that I could go to traffic school to avoid having the ticket appear on my record; but when I logged on to the court website to pay my ticket, it said that traffic school was not available to me. I got a ticket for "failure to obey flare pattern". I was in the #1 lane, there were two police cars in the #2 lane with a couple of old dead flares around them, one still burning directly underneath the bumper of one of their cars, and one DEAD flare in the #1 lane.
