We had made a reservation for 5 people two weeks ago, got a confirmation and was ready to go. Few hours before 745pm, we wanted to add 3 people to the rsvp. We called and they didn't have the reservation we requested 2 weeks ago. We were on hold for 30 minutes talking to 3 different people trying to figure this out. Terrible dining experience – I can't rate LAVO as a club, but my dining experience there was terrible. The music was so loud it was impossible to carry on a conversation with anyone at the table. The service was extremely slow and the dining area was so cramped I had people running into me the entire meal. Bad Food - Pretentious Service – My meal at Lavo was one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time. My husband and I order an appetizer and a salad. The Kobe Beef Rice Ball appetizer was ok and the Beet with Goat Cheese salad was overdressed. The entrees were worse. I had Spaghetti Carbonara . The portion was huge but the flavor was missing. Bad service and ultra expensive hookah – We stopped by at Lavo during my friend's bachelor party weekend. We sat outside so that we could smoke the hookah. The waitress had to be begged to serve us. When she finally arrived with our hookah, she let us know that it cost $75! Most hookah places charge anywhere from $10 to $20 for a hookah. Obviously, they're overcharging...
