I've been here a handful of times and they do an amazing job. David did my nails this time around and they came out exactly how I requested.
This is a VERY UPSCALE nail salon in very posh and tony neighborhood of South Hill. Rarely do I come up here to this area, but I'm glad they weren't overwhelmingly busy for a Sunday, right after the crazed church rush, and I was able to get service about 1/2 hr after walking in. I got the second cheapest pedicure. ❤️ No solvent smell! They wore gloves! Used basin liners! They had one time use files, buffers, and exfoliation sponges! The rest were sterilizable metal tools! New chairs! The leg and foot massage was very firm and exhilarating! New management, new decor in progress and right now they are 25% off. And no, they didn’t ask me to review them. I’m just ecstatic to find a sanitary, breathable nail spa.
I have been going to Lavia for a couple of years. Usually they are prompt with good service. I made an appointment last week for two pedicures. We arrived on time and then waited for 25 minutes to get our pedicures started. So late we did not have time to get the long ones we wanted. They took walk ins over our appointment. Also the color on the sample did not match the one I got. Numbers were the same but the colors did not match. Will think again before going there again.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. Avoid this place at all costs. This was our second and definitely last visit. My girlfriend came in for a fill and Andy was the technician assigned. He rushed her to the seat immediately and when she asked to see the sample colors, he sighed loudly and tossed the color board at her. No patience, no courtesy, no professionalism.
