While visiting from NC to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, she said she wanted a cupcake instead of a birthday cake. I guess she knew I couldn’t put a lot of candles on a cupcake. I did a quick search and your establishment popped up. Man did I luck out, my mother said they were the “Best” cupcakes she had ever eaten. Thanks for bringing a big smile to my mom on her special day. So if you’re in Olde Town stop and get some cupcakes from Lavender Moon you will not regret it.
I pre-ordered 24 cupcakes for a birthday celebration in our office. EVERYONE loved them and kept asking where I got the cupcakes. We are definitely ordering again for celebrations. Friendly service and superb quality and taste...best in Alexandria !!
the vanilla bean lemon curd and red velvet are sooo good! I ordered half a dozen to share with my family but I want to eat them ALL!

I have tried several cupcakeries in the DC area and Lavender Moon is my favorite one hands down. It's a rare place that can make their vanilla cupcake taste as delicious and flavorful as their flavored cupcakes. All their flavors are good choices.
