Lavanya is a wonderful designer to work with! Along with my design suggestions and her design and fabric experience, she created a beautiful gown for me. She is very thoughtful and listened to my every concern. I strongly recommend Lavanya if you are considering a custom made item and/or buying ‘off the rack’ in her lovely shop on Franklin St. in Newport, RI.

I found this shop both charming and unique. It's a hidden gem in Newport. The space has two designers -and Lavanya Coodly designs and produces the most beautiful embellished couture along with some day wear that you won't find anywhere else! One word of advice: try things on! Unlike most clothing stores, I found her styles to look even better on than on the rack. She clearly understands form. Fantastic!

My experience purchasing a customized multi-textured camisole from Lavanya Coodly in particular was outstanding. From helping with selecting fabrics, and embroidery options, she was professional and personable! Qualities rare these days, and most appreciated! Lavanya has a wide range of design, from casual to the utmost in hand-embellished couture. This truly a one-of-a-kind collaborative experience! An unusual gem that everybody should visit in downtown Newport.
