I just had an unfortunate experience at Lava Salon. The first time I went there and had Courtney cut my hair, I loved it--it was exactly what I had asked for, long layers at shoulder length that I could still pull back in a ponytail. I made another appointment for four months later, as she recommended. This time, I specifically asked for the same haircut as before, and requested that she take only between 1 and 2 inches off the length. wouldnt recommend for a curly cut! cute location and kind staff but their curly specialists were not the best with textured hair.

I walked in with shoulder length straight hair. I asked for a bob with bangs. I showed my stylist inspiration pictures, we had a nice conversation, and I thought we were vibing. APPARENTLY NOT. I walked out with some sort of pixie mullet. I AM DEVASTATED! The top layer is even too short to try and pay someone else to fix it. I am stuck looking ratchet for at least a few months. 0/10
Storm did an absolutely amazing job. She got my hair exactly how I envisioned it. First time anyone hair stylist has gotten my hair the way I wanted. I will be back. The salon was such a welcoming vibe. Good times all around.
