I’m proud to say that I’m a cancer survivor it was a hard journey for me and my family and I was able to share my story. We had a beautiful cancer awareness tea party and I was invited by activities girls to share my story. I was very happy to see all the happy faces in the Halloween party, I think that the most beautiful one was the egyption queen. My stay here has been a wonderful experience. I couldn’t had asked for a better roommate, she’s more than a roommate she’s family. Terisia is wonderful CNA she makes you happy and she says hello all the time, never had a bad moment with her. Jessica is always happy she comes to give us information of events and takes care of our concerns and makes great parties, we had a Halloween party with pizza and drinks, we have a lot of parties all the time that we don’t expect. I was paying the nursing home using my mom's Social Security money. After a few months, I decided to have the checks sent directly to them from Social Security. From every check, they set aside $35.00 and deposited it into an account they created for my mom's personal expenses. We hardly took any money from that fund—we covered her phone, phone line, a case of Ensure milk each month, and her snacks. I would like yo tell everyone about my experience with the Activity Center at Laurel Wellness Care & Nursing Center. First of all their staff consist of 4 beautiful young ladies. But there is on in particular who goes above & beyond. her name is Ashley. Ashley will take her personal time with you. I have developed a personal relationship with her.
