My child has been here 24 hours was jumped by 8 girls had her eye swelled and her glasses broken not only and I pressing charges on those children and the one who struck her I'm suing the facility! Y'all did not keep my child safe and I do not appreciate it at all! I will update with pictures the reviews were absolutely right!
I am 33 now, but as a child I was repeatedly placed in this facility — then called Ramsey, later Laurel Oaks — from around age 7 to 13 because my unstable mother tried to claim I was mentally insane for a government check. This place destroyed my childhood and left me with lifelong trauma: staff physically abused me by slamming me into walls, pinning me down with full force, even breaking kids’ legs. I use to work here for months and I wouldn’t recommend my kids (girls) being here the male staff are VERY sexual with the kids !
Been there twice 7 months the first time and 6 3/4 the second time. If anything it fueled my issues of depression and trauma. It’s a horrible nightmare of a facility! Don’t ever disagree with the staff or they’ll just strap you down and shoot you up! Night time staff was sleeping behind the desk most of the time.
