The application process was easy but after I moved in it seemed like the staff ALWAYS had a reason to be in my apartment. I was barely able to pay rent or afford furniture for that matter, yet staff said they were changing batteries in the fire alarms and left a note of possible eviction for leaving clothes (which were FOLDED) on the floor (couldnt even afford hangers at the time). I agree with Houston.I always paid my rent on time, there was never a complaint from my neighbors but they did harass me. I always got notes on my door about them entering my apartment if they did not see my vehicle out front. They always had to know who was there, what you were doing and who you where doing it with. I sold some furniture and they thought i was moving out. Also i let them know that i would be gone for a month due to me getting married and going on a honeymoon up to washington state. I am a tenant at LGA and love the area. The maintenance is kept up and when I moved in the apartment was spotless, carpets were cleaned and the staff was wonderful. I feel the rent is very reasonable considering some of the properties in Lawrence, the property is kept up and maintenance gets to problems quickly. From reading all the negative I would come to the conclusion that they are people who are not used to living in a nice complex and in order to keep it that way, there are rules and regulations signed by the tenant. First week living in this uncomfortable environment scared to even walk out my front door I get notes on my front door explaining I cant have guest over more then 7 days a month. I just would of rather them let me get comfortable with my new place first before they threat to putting me out for having a life. I didnt feel comfortable at all.
