Beautiful dresses, TERRIBLE service and attitude – I had read prior reviews so I knew what I was walking into. The only reason I visited Laura's was that they were the only retailer in Kansas or Missouri to carry a certain designer I was interested in. Our sales associate was very helpful. She did make a comment about me losing some weight, which I found unprofessional. Very poor customer service – After buying a gown and paying in full in November, my daughter and I asked if we could get the gown bustled. (It fit perfectly, this was the only "alteration" we needed.) We were told that it would be no problem but we would have to come back at a later time to pick it up. Laura suggested that both of us pick it up so that my daughter could try it on and I could be shown how to bustle it. Friendly and accomodating to ALL price ranges!!! Don't believe what you've read, they are GREAT!!! – A friend and I stoped by their shop to just look at gowns. We didn't have an appointment, we just stopped to see if they could fit us in. They could have easily turned us away to come back for an appointment, but they greeted us with champagne and open arms! Why so many ONE STAR REVIEWS? There's a reason. – Trust me, I was really looking forward to trying on bridal gowns. I wanted it to be the experience of my dreams and at every other bridal salon I visited, it was. This was the ONLY bad experience I had. The ONLY ONE. No one should be allowed to spoil this experience for any bride. If someone else has had a good experience, I am glad. But one good experience or one good review isn't enough to make me a believer. We spent an entire day wedding dress shopping, visiting all of the major stores in the area- Ida's, Nolte's, Bridal Extroidinaire, and we had such a special amazing day....until we stepped into Laura's. My appointment was with Laura, who quickly handed me to the girl working the front desk. Apparently she decided we would not be worth her time. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! – HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Went for a trunk show and was told i could only look @ trunk show dresses and once i tried those all on THEN laura would let me see what she has even though i didnt like any of them. I explained in detail exactly what i wanted and NOTHING they brought in was it! After serving us many mimosas,they brought a dress that they insisted was very $$$ & that they would cut us a deal. Who are these people? – I have been to a lot of bridal dress shops in Kansas City, Noltes, Mia's, Ida's Custom Veils, Laura's couture collection and several more, even one out of town. I have never had a bad experience until i stepped into Laura's couture collection. I had an appointment. They were not busy. Highly Recommend Laura's Couture Collection!! – I find it hard to believe the other reviews are accurate! The experience I had was quite opposite! I was passing through KC from another state on a day the store was closed. I stopped and peeked in the window and the owner was there working..Laura immediately opened the door and welcomed me in, offering to let me try on some of their beautiful dresses on her day off. Terrible Customer Service... and I didn't even make it into the store! – A family friend recommended Laura's Couture saying that "they had some beautiful things". I wouldn't doubt that, but I couldn't get over how rude they were over the phone. I wanted to look for some veils and I let him know this over the phone. I think he was irritated that I wouldn't be purchasing my dress from them (seeing as I had already purchased my dress in Chicago).
