I was referred to Dr. McMillan for top surgery after being approved by the Kaiser San Diego transgender committee. During our consult, she decided to post-pone my surgery for nearly a year (until after I turned 18) against the wishes of the committee and without informing them. She explained that she believed I was too at risk to regret the surgery or detransition (despite this procedure being fully approved by everyone else involved) because of my ASD. Dr Laura McMillan with Kaiser Permanente was my surgeon for a recent breast reduction. She was amazing! I am thrilled with the results. She really listened to what I wanted which was a C since I wanted to be proportionate. She's direct, but I appreciate that. I don't need someone to coddle me. I needed a skilled, experienced surgeon and that's what I got. She prepped me that nothing is guaranteed and they have parameters for insurance purposes but she would do her best to get the desired outcome. She nailed it! I am thrilled... read more
Dr McMillan did my breast reconstruction 10 years ago. She did a fabulous job and still looks great 10 years later.

got a referral from Kaiser as I had extreme pain needed implant removal they referred me to dr. Laura in San Diego she was going to do a procedure and said I had to pay $1,000 called my insurance said it was a covered benefit the procedure she wanted to do wasn't even guaranteed solving my pain it's a shame all these doctors at Kaiser has bad reviews
Do not, if all possible let this Dr. work on your breast reconstructive procedure. I am one of her failures. I am taking the time to warn patients here, instead of suing Kaiser.
