BEST MUSEUM IN LAS VEGAS FOR FINE ART – Since David Crosby wrote the first review, this museum has gone through a major revolution. The new Director is Libby Lumpkin (wife of famous art critic and Genius Award winner, David Hickey) has turned the museum into a jewel of high quality contemporary art that never disappoints. A fantastic space struggles to create a local visual arts identity. – In Short This fabulous museum space, designed to Smithsonian specifications, was given over to the tiny, decades-old Las Vegas Art Museum that was formerly located in Lorenzi Park because the Library District balked at the expense of running the space itself. The new LVAM has tried to live up to this space by hiring a self-described "post-postmodernist" curator, but the results have been mixed.
