I had emergency surgery for a detached retina 7/23. Dr. Jian was pleasant and reassuring. The surgery was successful and he saved my sight. Very grateful to Dr. Jian.

When my child failed their vision test in the pediatrician's office, I quickly called Dr. LaRocca's office and was able to have an appointment the very next morning. The staff understands parental anxiety and accommodated us asap. The technician was wonderful and able to keep my child focused and engaged. Dr. LaRocca was prompt and very thorough.

They took me even though I was 25 minutes late. The receptionist was courteous and not impatient or annoyed. The assistant knew her stuff and was comfortable to chat a little with. Dr. Tanguilig was thorough, and easy to ask questions of giving clear easily understood answers. He did not over prescribe.

It’s crazy to see dr.Larocca has such a low rating. This man is a godsend. He was so knowledgeable and nice. He worked diligently with me and my mom to make sure every single box that needed to be checked was checked. I had weekly appointments with him measuring my eye turns. Finally it stabilized and he explained all the probabilities of risks and benefits and he allowed me to then do surgery safely which he performed. I checked in for my appointment and asked if the doctor was running behind. “Not bad”. I had an 11:00 a.m. appointment and was taken back by the Tech relatively quickly, then proceeded to wait……with several other patients. I asked several times how much longer and no one could tell me. A front desk staff member told me “you have to expect to wait at least 1 1/2 hour for a Specialist”. Well I worked for an Ophthalmologist who never had a patient wait more than 15 minutes. Absolutely not equipped to treat children. He had the tech hold my two year olds head while he pried his eyes open. The next two appts with him were a complete waste of time as my son was traumatized and wanted to get away from him the whole time. We switched to a Boston children’s hospital site and it was a total game changer, my son did excellent and was able to happily complete the exam with zero issues but unfortunately one of his eyes had gotten much worse, though dr. I have been treated by Dr Johnson for the past two years. And although I have some serious heart issues, I have felt safe and confident, with Dr Johnson as my cardiologist. He is thorough, an expert in his field, never rushed, great bedside manner and truly cares for his patients. (Even to the point of calling me at home on several occasions).

YES I would recommend Dr. Johnson to friends and family. Dr. Johnson has been my cardiologist for 25+ years and saw me through an aortic valve replacement. I have complete confidence in him.
