Dont let the photos and commercials fool you, Larkin Village is defiantely the worst place ever to live. OMG!!! The big ass roaches well water bugs on the first level is just horrible.

Larkin Village is one of the worst places to live in Joliet. The upkeep is horible the people are Ghetto and the first floor apartments all have LARGE ROACHES. If I could do it again I wouldnt. The landlord rents apartments to Ghetto girls with 15 kids who stay in the halls all day and smoke weed and I wonder if I should pay my rent or break my lease. My advice to anyone who wants to move is DONT DO IT,DONT DO IT,DONT DO IT.
This is the worst place to live Dennis is the worst property manager. He charges money to clean the carpets when its mandatory to do anyway. They will try their best to find something wrong with the apartment even if you clean it from top to bottom and leave it spotless. The people are ghetto their kids are loud and if you call to complain Dennis does NOTHING! Find a better place to leave because Larkin Village is NOT it!
Larkin Village sucks and if you want a reliable place to live, do not chose this place, EVER!
I have lived at Larkin Village for about 3 years now and I love my apartment! I staff in the office is always friendly and helpful and I have never had a problem with getting repairs done on my apartment. If you are looking for a clean safe place to live I would check out this place!
i was staying at a friends house for 4 days and i enjoyed the peace and quiet especially when you live in the city im thinking about moving there only looking for a studio and this is the place for me.
This is a TERRIBLE place to live. Not only is it extremely noisey but it is not well kept. There is an obvious drug problem in this area and lots of violence. As a matter of fact, just this past weekend I heard gun shots right outside my apartment (in my parking lot - which is near the playground that the children use). If you dont want to take my advice, call the Joliet police and ask them about the problems. Sure wish I would have done so before moving there.
