The Camarao Grelhado (cognac shrimp) is the shrimp best dish you will every have! (iykyk) The Caldo Verde soup warms my soul and the steaks are always cooked perfectly. I am not a big pork eater but the Lombo de Porco Recheado (stuffed porkchop) is absurdly delicious. If you are lucky enough to be there on a Wednesday, the Francesinha is a must! Dipping the french fries into the Francesinha sauce is the move. Honorable mention, the new house larger, Douro with their orange soda, Sumol is so refreshing!!
Could not recommend this restaurant enough. Everything we ate was excellent. Try the lapas with garlic bread, espada (black scabbard fish) with banana and passion fruit (a local delicacy), and espatada (steak). Our server was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated as first time island visitors. Green wine was AMAZING. In a city with tons of options, this restaurant is a must-try. The sign outside for the restaurant is a little outdated / does not really catch the eye, but trust the process. The food is so good
