Last time I went in for an optometrist appointment was about 10 years ago. My prescription doesn't change that often. But obviously I was happy with Dr.Mendelson's knowledge and optometrist services then so I'm looking up her office again.
I saw this doctor one week ago. If you have a chance , AVOID HER. I went for an eye exame thinking that Lens Crafter, on 3rd ave e 49 st, would provide a competent eye doctor onsite. Dr. Mendelssohn failed to diagnosed that I have cataract on my left eye. I mentioned to her the discomfort on my left eye and the fact that my vision was blurry. She said that I have a lazy eye and the new prescription would help me. I spent a lot of money making new glasses to find out that I was still with the problem. Lens Crafter was decent ... read more

Very knowledgeable and professional with an excellent bedside manner. She prescribed progressive lenses, which is exactly what I needed. Now I see and read better whether it’s dark or light out.
