Laporta’s is a cozy gem in Alexandria with outstanding service, a warm, inviting atmosphere, and live light jazz that sets the perfect mood. The hanger steak was tender and flavorful, the scallops perfectly seared with creamy risotto, and the curry mahi mahi was a standout—flaky and rich with just the right spice. We finished with carrot cake and chocolate cake—both moist, decadent, and clearly made in-house. Great food, smooth music, and an all-around relaxing, elevated dining experience. Highly recommend!
I would recommend this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere was good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, and wifey had the chicken fettuccine alfredo. They also have nice non-alcoholic beverages, the lum pum spritzer was delicious. We sat in the bar area, but we had an option to also sit in the dining room with live jazz as well. I liked the big picture window. The staff was attentive and very nice.
We had a great evening at Laporta’s. The food was great, the music was just right and our server was excellent. I really enjoyed the schnitzel. I will go back.
