Lapis is my favorite shop to find gifts big and small. The staff are always great. I come in regularly to see what’s new. I recently purchased a new wedding ring and I am in love. We are so fortunate to have this gem of a shop in the Proctor District!
If you’re anywhere near Lapis, it’s worth the stop. The shop has that rare balance of thoughtfully curated pieces and a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger. Every item feels intentional, unique without being overwhelming, and the quality really stands out. The staff are genuinely kind and knowledgeable, offering just the right amount of guidance without ever feeling pushy. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for a quick browse and leave with something you’ll treasure for years.
I’ve been going in to this store for years and I swear the SAs always act as if they’re too good to help me. I’m often looking for gifts and end up leaving b/c they’re just not nice. They used to be polite and friendly the first couple of years. I bought lovely jewelry and a few small gifts from others then. Now I just feel like I’m bothering them when I go there or they simply don’t even acknowledge me. What happened?!
