Lapellah Restaurant and Bar is locally owned and offers its diners wood-fired food and artisanal cocktails. We are a farm to table restaurant equipped with a wood fired oven and wood fired grill. For the best experience with a party of 4 or less - you may want to reserve our "Chef's Counter" where you experience cooks in action as they prepare your meal over an open wood fire. Worth crossing the river! – Food was great, service was attentive...we'll absolutely go back! I've had dinner and lunch here several times without disappointment. From the fish and chips to the braised beef ribs the food has been just perfectly prepared.

Never again – The food was fair and definitely not in the category of "I can't wait to go back." The waiter came to our table exactly three times, menu, food and bill. Never received a second cup of coffee and because we had waited so long for everything we asked for a "to-go" cup. Of course they don't have those. The staff gave us the impression that we were a inconvenience. If I'm going to pay over $30.00 for lunch for two (sans cocktails) then a smile and can I get you something else would have been nice.

Simply dreadful – My wife and I decided to skip our usual Vancouver happy hour places (Tommy O's, Gustav's, 360 ... all excellent btw), and try Lapellah. We entered into a place that smelled and looked great! Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our meal. It took awhile before we got menus from our "waitress", who had the warmth and personality of a fire hydrant. I tried to ask about the different brews on-tap but she had no idea what each was like. We ordered some drinks and some happy hour items and waited. Finally, we... read more

Great Lemon Drops and Northwest Cuisine! – My husband and I go to Lapellah at least twice a month for the past year for either brunch or dinner, and I go with girlfriends for Happy Hour and am NEVER disappointed! The staff is uniquely friendly and professional and makes for a wonderful dining or bar experience. Their Happy Hour is fantastic (food and beverage) and their Lemon Drops are the best! We love the seasoned french fries, the entree salads, the biscuits on Sunday mornings, the Sunday Suppers and the trout entree! We ... read more

Delicious – I went for Valentine's Day and I had the filet and the mashed potatoes with white truffle oil. I love the atmosphere and the open grill. A little gem in Vancouver!

Chef loves his salt...we won't be going back – I would expect more for the price. We went twice using Groupons. The wine list is good and service was excellent both times, but tried 5 different dishes and was disappointed with the mediocrity and over-salting of everything. Both times had to take a water bottle to bed because of salt dehydration. If you are expecting something like Roots (the owner's other high-end restaurant) you will be disappointed in the food. If they ever get a different chef we would consider going back... read more

Really good Valentine's dinner... – So this was the second time we've been to Lapellah, once for lunch a few months ago and yesterday for Valentine's dinner. Don't usually try to make it out on Valentine's but the weekend was going to be busy so we made a res and their menu sounded great... it lived up to the description. Highlight for me was the scallop salad with citrus, but the wife loved all the crab with the bernaise sauce and the steak done black and blue (which very few places get right these days). Too full for desse... read more
