It's interesting to me how many poor reviews this location has, I had a wonderful experience today. Wait time was about an hour, which was reasonable given the expected wait time was listed as 30-60min. I also love being able to sign in online and text updates where you are in the queue. Asia who checked me in was an absolute GEM and checked with the doctor to make sure they could help me with what I needed to be seen for. Went in for severely irritating rash, which was given to me by the emergency department the week prior, and was told by the attending NP, "Go buy some Benadryl or something." and given amoxicillin. In addition, that same NP used AI to assist her, which is concerning. The nurse who called me back couldn't remember my name between the time she read it on the screen and walked out to call me back. They are very unprofessional. So I go online schedule an appointment. Have it all set. They text me get here in 3 minutes I get there. She tells me oh we're no longer taking patients. Provider is leaving early. I'm like wait what she didn't even ask ask if I needed help go anywhere else just told me I had to leave. I'm like you guys just sent me a text and told me to get over here. Oh yeah that was before we put the note on the door. Checked in about 920 am waited over an 1 and half didn’t even get my daughters xray done before her appt. Had so many people come in after me to be seen.
They'd rather you get sick and die in hospital than pay staff a livable wage. That's the message University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing is sending the community when they outsource necessary positions such as food and nutrition, janitorial, and other service work to the lowest bidder. Look elsewhere for treatment and care if you have the opportunity, because coming here may only make you more sick.
