I visited Langley Hyundai for a Maintenance 1 service. The advisor recommended an emission system service, and I clearly asked her if it was really necessary since I don’t know much about cars. She told me it is recommended every 3 years. Because of that, I ended up paying exactly $239.95 extra. After the service, I found out this was actually unnecessary. Amazing!!!
This was the worst dealership service experience I’ve ever had in Canada. At every other dealership, you work directly with your service advisor, but here it felt completely unorganized. I dropped off my car and waited 15 minutes for the shuttle. Then, only about one hour later, I got a call that my car was “ready” — which didn’t make sense for the type of service being done, but I thought maybe that was a good thing if everything was actually completed properly. Took car in for safety recall. They found other issues and quoted me $3200 ($2800 with 10% discount) to fix oil leak, wheel alignment, and something about rodents about to chew wires. Took the car to another garage right after and they said none of the concerns noted above were valid.
I had a great time buying a used 2015 Hyundai Tucson from Hyundai Langley. The whole process was smooth and easy, from start to finish. I dealt with two salespeople, Asher Stephen and Faris Khan, and found them both extremely helpful and transparent, without being pushy.
