Extremely Disappointed with the Care and Conditions My grandfather spent four weeks at this rehab facility, and the experience was deeply unsettling from start to finish. The level of care was far below what one should expect in a facility meant for recovery and rehabilitation. First and foremost, basic hygiene needs were completely neglected. Really would have hoped with new ownership things would improve. Sadly this is not the case. I continually listen to residents complain about the food, and the staff. There is little to no communication with liaison, administration, etc.
We had an incredible experience at Langdon. My sister has dementia and was rehabbing there. They took such good care of her. She has been in and out of other facilities in the area. Langdon by far has been the best. Clean and organized. Always treated with respect and kindness. She loved the food which is saying a lot because she usually has a meager appetite. Our mother has been at Langdon Place of Dover , memory care , for almost 7 months now. The change in mother’s health and overall well-being has been dramatic. And I believe it is due 100% to the outstanding care and attention she is receiving at Langdon Place! Prior to her arrival at LPD, she was regularly requiring trips to the Emergency Department due to falls, illnesses, etc. in the past 7 months she has not had one serious fall or been ill!
