Ken Woods at Lang sets the bar for customer support, responsiveness, efficiency, and sense-of-humor. And Lang Racing, in general, really knows their stuff when it comes to the S54 platform. For those who truly appreciate the engineering and performance of the E46 M3, , my recent experience with Lang Racing Development is highly relevant. They caused irreparable damage to my car after quoting me higher than most shops while also doing all of the work incorrectly, Ken also had a disrespectful attitude towards me after they messed my car up, as if he is bipolar. They do not know how to work on cars that are used for racing. I guarantee you not one person in this shop can tell you what a roll center or anything suspension geometry related is. Shady.
My shop in Washington got one of the heads they did because the tech putting their head on saw some red flags. I have never seen such hackery in my life. There is literally glass bead(sand grains) left inside the ports, the valves have been butt faced so low there is almost lash caps touching the keepers, the head has been surfaced almost a full MM on one side, and a half mill on the other(they didn’t even level the head before surfacing) the seats have been sunk like .020 and instead of just getting smaller lash caps they b... read more
