Lanes Is AWESOME! My Husband and I Love Their Kringle The Cherry one especially! We Love Lanes alot! By the way My Teacher for Baking at Madison Area Technical School was Mr. Leary who used to be a Baker at Lanes too.
No Help Ordering a Cake I tasted a white cake from Lanes at a baby shower & it was exquisite. The cake had a bit of an almond flavor with a buttercream frosting. I called you shop a few days later to ask your staff to look up the order (I had a name but couldn't talk to the person who ordered the cake). Choc frosted choc donuts I rated these as world class and I mean it. They are just the best donut in Madison. Drove all the way across town just to treat my granddaughter to one. She agreed. Stop by in the morning when they are the "freshest."
Difficult to work with for wedding cakes. Outdated The cake tastes great and I thought would be a good cost, but there are all of these additional costs that they add in right before you get the cake. Anything but white frosting is an additional cost, although they don't tell you that up front. Also, any decoration or flower besides roses is an additional cost because it is supposedly difficult and time consuming. They also don't tell you this up front. One of the Best Bakeries in madison If you want donuts in Madison - go to Lanes. It is slightly off the campus area and so does not serve the campus population as well as Greenbush, but it surely has some really good donuts. Their other sugar glazed and baked products are also equally good.
Astounding in Every Way! The BEST. That really says it all. Try their cakes... buttercream or whipped cream frosting. And you cannot LIVE without their fresh baked KRINGLE. Beats Racine Kringle by a long shot! GO THERE NOW!
