In the past, people would come from all over the city for our authentic, crusty, all natural Italian bread that was always baked with love.

Great bread I come back to the old neighborhood often for bread. I always go to Lanci's. I remember my grandparents bringing me here to buy bread when I was a kid. All those years baking! Can't beat it.
Lanci's Bakery Among the many things for which South Philadelphia is known, bread ranks high. You can hardly pass a street corner on which you won't find a bread bakery, and everyone has his or her favorite. This is mine. Keep in mind that I like the crust more than the inside of a bread. Lanci's crust is dark and crisp, to put it mildly. In fact, you'd better make sure your teeth are in good shape! The bread itself is fairly dense and could make a meal in itself. Lanci's is truly excellent!
