Very, very happy with our entire experience. We had a fence put in 9 years ago and it still looks fantastic. Today we just had Lanark Cedar install another fence with a more involved entrance way. Rob, who handled the onsite quote, has an excellent eye for marrying an ecstatically pleasing solution to the lay of the land. Also a gentleman to deal with! We ordered a large load of white cedar from Lanark Cedar and we're extremely happy with the wood. There were no boards that were too warped or too knotted to use. We had very little waste. On a large dock (20' x 35') using 2x8 rough (joists) and 2x6 finished we used every board. The company was excellent to work with, accommodated changes in delivery dates and locations, and was able to source a nice 16' 2x8 finished board for one long edge we needed. I will definitely order from Lanark again.
We engaged with Lanark Cedar on a recommendation from neighbourhood acquaintances. The team was quick at communicating, but not clear in communicating. Their quote did not include HST - that fact being stated in the fine print whereas other providers included the total price in their quotes. My wife asked for a style of fence with gaps that were larger than their standard product and was talked into one of their standard panels by being assured that the gaps between the boards would grow as the boards shrink over time. Ordered cedar post and paddle style rail fencing. Quick to respond with a quote and my order was ready for pickup quicker than promised . Mike was great to work with . Super friendly staff , great pricing, and great looking fence. Well worth the 200 mile round trip drive!!
Lanark Cedar provided and installed a 120' Cedar and Hemlock Fence on our property. Excellent price, and installation that was second to none! Being on a corner lot, we've had tons of compliments and inquiries as to who did the job. We would have Lanark back for any projects we require!
