I don’t even know where to begin bc this entire visit was terrible. I had a new patient visit, annual entire body skin check. I expressed that occasionally I have some small minor hormonal breakouts. Dr Tong took all of maybe one minute looking at my body from head to toe. I have freckles, some scars and a few moles that she barely addressed. I saw Dr. Tong 2-years ago but I'm just now posting this because I was so traumatized from the experience. I wanted a different cream to treat my eczema. She took one look at it and matter-of-factly said, "That's not eczema. It's most likely fungal." I was surprised by her quick diagnosis, considering my very long history of being diagnosed and treated for eczema. She seemed confident that it was not eczema, so she would not prescribe a new cream. But she offered to do a punch biopsy and test it. I agreed to it, thinking it ... read more

Showed up to my appointment 20 minutes early. 10 mins after my appointment should have started…. Front desk told me Dr hasn’t arrived yet and no estimate on when she would arrive. I booked an appointment with another office.

I wish I can put 0 stars and by looking at the reviews for Lana Tong, it seems a lot of patients have unfortunately had the same terrible experience I have. I came in for an issue I have been dealing with for over a month and needed help, advice, a plan, SOMETHING, but she came in and took a look at my skin for a millisecond and was completely unhelpful. Accompanied my wife to her visit to have a concerning mole checked out and had the worst experience we’ve ever had with a physician. She barely listens, explains nothing, gives you a fake smile the entire time and is clearly trying to leave the room as soon as possible. When asked how big the scar will be from biopsy, she replied “bigger than the mole” without an ounce of effort to explain how she would do the procedure.
