Best nails and brows in Boston Lan is a doll -- no two ways about it. I've been going to her on and off for 6 years, and the "off" was only when I wasn't living in the area. The yelper above who said Lan's was dirty is blind -- the place is very clean -- have you SEEN some of the places in and around Boston? She also does AMAZING eyebrow waxing, and is all around affordable. I highly recommend trying it out. Overcharged and Dishonest Buyer Beware: I just moved to the South End and went to Lan's 3 times for a fill. The last time I went they over-charged me. They charged me $25 for an acryllic fill. I know I had paid $18 the last couple times. When I questioned the price they insisted the price of an acryllic fill was $25. When my friend went in the next day they quoted her $18 for a fill. I went in that day to get my money back and they said they charged me $25 because they gave me a gel fill , which was another lie. The moral of... read more
Fantastic Manicure! Lans decor is awful and rather kitchy and it seems like a hole in the wall but they do a fantastic job! Everyone I have ever had for a manicure there has paid a ton of attention to detail and my nails always look fantastic. Lan is also so sweet. I know a lot of people who can afford high end spas to get their nails done but choose Lan because they are great!
How did this place win Best of Boston?! I was shocked to see that this place won "Best of Boston" at some point. In what world is that possible? The manicure I got there was so bad that I went to My Nail Salon down the street the next week (also not impressive). The South End desperately needs a decent nail salon.
