I only lived here for 2 months and had to find another apartment and move because the units here are uninhabitable. The building is very old and there are tons of maintenance issues, summarized below. 1. Long-term plumbing issues: The plumbing is outdated and there have been numerous floods in the past 10 years, some affecting entire stacks of units, and some impacting only a few units. Homestead has been in numerous battles with the tenants here at the LTB, and has still not compensated tenants for what Homestead owes them.... read more

Sickened so I heard the best manager was moved over to 50 Laurier.So many tenants here talked about Tamara how she cares and was by the books. But did her job. Since then we got someone who sits on her butt plays on her phone and nothing gets done.This guy who comes once in a blue moon has walked in my unit 3 times without notice already . Can't speak good English says he doesn't know to everything. I called over to 50 Laurier to speak to the manager she been so helpful to hear she left the company. It is absolutely hilarious that Homestead calls this a “luxury” building and expects its tenants to pay a fortune in rent, because I moved in a month ago and I have been plagued with numerous maintenance issues that makes this ancient building nothing but a nightmare. All apartments require maintenance at some point but Homestead is really slow with fixing issues. For example, there was a plumbing issue in a unit above mine and water entered my unit and damaged the parquet flooring. It took Homestead an entire week to call a... read more
