I own and manage Kodiak Adventures Lodge on Kodiak Island in Alaska. We are a remote lodge so I can not afford to have rods break and have down time . We have used Lamiglas rods for over 11 years now and have never broke a single rod. Only one tip had the ceramic come out and I fixed it myself with a repair tip. Extremely disappointed, after paying a good amount of money for a Kenai years ago eventually the tip broke in the middle of salmon season,so I ended up buying a new redline. After breaking it on the first trip within 5 cast I decided it was time to contact them and get both rods fixed. they were very helpful with the red line and we're going to send me a top section when it comes in (due to back oreder). due to the Kenai in order to have it fixed I will have to cut the label out and spend over $100 due to the fact they don't... read more
