This was a long time ago. 14 years to be exact. Dr Lam did not take any of my symptoms seriously. She was mostly focused on my weight gain more than anything else. I quote, “you eat too many cheeseburgers” she said on multiple ocassions. This was my first and only pregnancy and she never validated me with anything and repeatedly said “it’s normal” normal when I was so incredibly swollen and uncomfortable, even my face was swollen and I had “pregnancy nose”.
